Hitman Sniper: The Shadows (Square Enix)

Free-to-Play Mobile Game (Released 2021)

Originally brought on as the UI/UX Design Lead, I directed the overall UI/UX vision and led a team of in-house and outsourced designers. While managing the team, I remained hands-on—collaborating with cross-functional leads to ensure cohesive execution and alignment across gameplay and metagame systems.

 

Key contributions 

  • Directed UX and UI design to ensure a cohesive and user-centric game experience.

  • Led and mentored a team of UX/UI designers, fostering collaboration and growth within the team.

  • Collaborated with other department leads to enhance the overall player experience.

  • Provided feedback on UI art direction and UX design to maintain design consistency and quality.

  • Managed project planning and tasks for outsourcing teams to ensure timely and quality deliverables.

  • Worked closely with senior producers to align on product design and ensure smooth integration with development.

  • Created detailed UX wireframes in collaboration with other UX designers to outline and optimize gameplay flows.

Main menu rework

Problems: Why rework the main menu?

  • The existing menu was functional but lacked excitement and visual appeal

  • It didn’t provide space to showcase new content or seasonal updates

  • Players found it unclear where to begin, leading to confusion during onboarding

Solutions:

Create the space that marketing or live ops team can use to show case new content or new character Simplify the entrance of the game mode (single player mode and player vs player mode)

Campaign menu rework

Problems : Why to rework on the campaign screen?

  • To adopt to new game design

  • To be able to reuse the assets cross the menu

  • It was difficult to player to understand where to start

Solutions:

  • Discussed with game design to simplify the design

  • Moved buttons to the place that easier to interact
